February 6, 2023... Trust the Process (continued)

Greetings Everyone....
🎢"how many times must we give it one more try, before we really say goodbye"
                Dionne Warwick/Luther Vandross
Previously we discussed Trusting the Process. We learned that trusting the process was not always easy, but instead of settling for minimum results, if we trust the process, (which is Trusting God) we could have maximum results.

We also shared three questions...
1. Have you ever settled for the sake of
2. Did you regret settling
3. How did you become unsettled

Interesting enough one viewer shared their thoughts concerning question #1 by commenting that they had settled for the sake of peace. O boy I really loved and respected that comment. It was so real and common. We, as a people, have at some point in our lives chose peace over being politically correct. Knowing when to hold and when to fold is the proper solution to making wise decisions.

Some may say in doing this it makes one appear weak. News flash... Would you rather appear weak with PEACE or appear strong with frustration... Think about it...

Have a wonderful day. Keep smiling. Be encouraged knowing that processing is not always easy, but it is rewarding...

Scripture urges us to be content not settle. First Timothy 6:6–8 says, “Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.” Contentment is being satisfied with one’s circumstances. Settling, as it relates to this topic, according to the McMillan online dictionary is to accept something less than what you wanted. I'd imagine it's not impossible to become content with what you end up with, but it would certainly be harder than closing a better option for yourself. Sip on that. Dr. P

Yes... God's peace is perfect... Whenever you can let things go for the sake of peace, you have gained much

In settling for peace sake to me, is merely refusing to debate. I would rather squash the situation (for the moment). Return with a much calmer attitude and come to an agreement where we both have agreed upon, and be in harmony.
