Pade 6... Balance/Detours... Day 22

It's Think about it Thursday... Time to make some dreams a reality🤗

Detour...

a long or roundabout route that is taken to avoid something...

Ummm. How many of us can honestly say that we have taken one or one hundred detours in our life?

Detours that we wanted and detours that were unexpected. Whichever detour you took, you can agree that it was an uncomfortable/unexpected journey... 

Why was it uncomfortable/unexpected? I'm so glad you asked? Well, for me it was uncomfortable because it was unfamiliar. And you know anything that is unfamiliar can sometimes bring discomfort... The thought of not knowing is what makes it uncomfortable...

Point... Say you are traveling out of town. You have traveled this route several times therefore you are certain as to how to get there until... you see a sign that reads DETOUR AHEAD... Your first reactions are... What! Why/ where/ how am I suppose to get back on the correct road. You hit the panic button without realizing if just continue to drive and follow the arrows, eventually you will get back on the correct road. You are clueless, as to where you are headed, which causes you to become anxious. Your emotions are going wild, nevertheless, you never stopped driving...

Such is life... We sometimes become self abusers by thinking that because we made a few detours in life, we can't get back on track... Negative... My question to you is who told you that you were off track? What thoughts/ other people voices, convinced you that you were on the wrong road? Did you ever once consider that your detour was needed in order to prevent you from encountering something worse?

                             

 Yeah, yeah, I know I don't know your journey, your frustrations, your pain, none of that, but what I do know is this, you made it this far, and until your journey has reached its complete destination, you will enconter another detour... Life is full of possibilities, as well as, uncertainties, but in all the chaos, your life, my life, everybody lives, life is still good. Whether it be detours of joy or detours of pain, you will encounter a couple of going through this... to get too that.

So the next time life takes you on a detour, try not to complain. Easier said than done, I know, but if you can, avoid the complaining, pay attention to the signs, stay alert, (not defensive), enjoy as much of the scenery  as possible, relax your mind, and watch how you get where you need to be, when you need to be, with everything in the order as it was expected to be when you first began the journey. Relax, Relate, Release... It's all working together for your good...
